A Sweet Yet Fractured Deception

The story opens with a highly awkward dilemma set in an Omegaverse world. Readers are drawn into a years-long relationship between an ordinary Beta and a powerful S-class Alpha. However, the very foundation of their bond is built upon an elaborate deception.

To keep his high-status lover, He Yuan resorts to fake pheromones. This premise immediately instills an invisible pressure that hangs over every chapter, keeping readers constantly on edge as they wait for the truth to come to light.

The arrival of a destined Omega who shares perfect biological compatibility with Fu Sheng acts as the catalyst for tragedy. Their seemingly peaceful relationship quickly develops deep fractures as primal instincts take over. This is a crucial element that readers should mentally prepare for before diving in.

Biological Systems and Unforgiving Constraints

The world operates on extremely strict biological dynamics, categorizing characters into Beta, Alpha, and Omega, each with distinct physiological traits. These innate biological differences serve as the biggest barrier separating the two leads.

Fu Sheng is a powerful S-class Alpha with high social standing and an overwhelming pheromone presence. By contrast, He Yuan is merely an ordinary Beta, lacking the potent pheromone scent needed to keep his lover tied to him. This stark imbalance makes resorting to synthetic tricks his only option.

The arrival of the Omega with their unique pheromone exerts an irresistible, instinctual pull on the Alpha. It is a harsh biological rule that renders any desperate attempt to hold on through deceit completely futile. The author skillfully exploits this dynamic to push the conflict to its climax.

Complex Psychology of the Main Leads

He Yuan presents a deeply contradictory yet remarkably realistic figure. Though naturally gentle and mild-mannered, he dares to pull off a bold deception lasting years. His persistence and cowardice in love are portrayed with sharp clarity.

Once the truth is laid bare, He Yuan's resolute decision to initiate a divorce demonstrates profound self-respect. He neither begs nor clings to the relationship, marking an impressive psychological turning point. Readers will feel the agonizing pain masked beneath his calm exterior.

Conversely, Fu Sheng is caught between logic, past devotion, and the magnetic pull of a destined partner. His inner turmoil and shifting perspective upon uncovering the lie are intricately written. Rather than framing him as a straightforward traitor, the author paints him as a creature ultimately governed by instinct.

Notable Strengths

• The narrative trajectory leans heavily toward a sad or bittersweet outcome, leaving lingering regret.

Community Reception

Who Should Read This
