From Past Abyss

Jun MuYan's story begins with a bloody tragedy in her past life. Betrayed, stripped of her unborn child to forge elixirs, and left broken in body and spirit, she found herself given a second chance at life. This rebirth sets the stage for a brilliant and ruthless vengeance.

Armed with peerless medical skills and an ancient musical heritage, she is no longer a pawn to be toyed with. Those who owe her blood debts must pay the ultimate price. Her cold, decisive nature serves as a bright spot, keeping the story far away from the tired tropes of the helpless damsel.

The Heavenly Duo

The introduction of Xiao Bao brings a brilliant balance to the grim undertones of the revenge arc. Despite his cool exterior, this remarkable son possesses heaven-defying abilities alongside a fiercely devoted heart. Their bond forms the core motivation that drives the heroine through every trial.

He is far more than just a source of emotional comfort; he is a vital partner in helping his mother tame divine beasts. Their interactions strike a rare balance between adorable and utterly dominant, forging warm moments that cut through the relentless schemes and political maneuvering.

Building Alliances

She does not walk the path of revenge alone, steadily gathering a circle of loyal allies through sheer talent and resolve. With Shin Jinglin providing a steadfast brotherly shield that always appears right when needed, the narrative evokes a deep sense of family amidst the ashes of betrayal.

Alongside figures like Fong Jingya whom she cultivates into trusted aides, she never hesitates to stand up for the vulnerable, such as Ling Yushing. These dynamic relationships give her character genuine psychological depth, showcasing a woman who values loyalty above all.

Core Strengths

• A strong, decisive female lead who fights her own battles without relying entirely on a male lead.
• A deeply moving and richly developed mother-son dynamic that anchors the emotional core.
• A vast power scaling system ranging from the Precelestial stage all the way to the Cention realm - Consummate level.
• Brilliant tactical fights that constantly highlight the protagonist's mastery of medical skills.

Notable Flaws

• At a staggering 3095 chapters, the sheer length can easily exhaust readers who prefer a brisk pace.
• Early conflict resolution in lower tiers like the Forged Body realm or Heaven realm occasionally falls back on formulaic patterns.
• The initial interference of Jun Shang and his black-belly personality can occasionally disrupt the momentum of the revenge plot.

Community Reception

• Novel Updates: 4.0/5.0 (162 votes, checked on 06/10/2026)

Readers across international forums frequently praise the seamless blend of mystic fantasy and maternal devotion. Xiao Bao is a universal fan favorite thanks to his sharp wit and charm. Even so, the sheer investment required remains a hurdle for anyone pressed for time.

Final Verdict

This is a marathon of a novel that demands considerable patience to fully digest across its 3095 chapters. The contrast between ruthless retribution and tender motherhood creates an addictive rhythm. Minor pacing hiccups in arcs like the Mystic stage or Astral Projection stage do little to diminish its overall pull.

If you are looking for an immersive romance backed by solid cultivation and character growth, this is well worth a dive. Her arduous climb toward the Tribulation stage leaves a lasting impression, proving that a mother rising from the ashes is a force of nature.

In short: A massive mystic fantasy epic defined by fierce maternal love and a gripping tale of retribution. While three thousand chapters is no small commitment, the chaotic charm of this mother-son duo makes every page worth turning.
