A Love Letter to the Past

Amidst the soft rhythm of falling rain, an invisible thread binds two far-flung worlds together. This story unfolds with a poetic grace as a young forensics expert, Ye Huairui, moves into a stately, vintage villa.

It is here, through magical ink appearing on a desk after a storm, that he connects with Yin Jiaming—a man living in the year 1982. This cross-era encounter does more than just reopen a tragic case in Jin city; it stirs the soul with a romance that floats somewhere between reality and fiction.

A Heartbeat Between Two Worlds

Their connection is crafted with such delicacy, feeling like a tender melody composed over the ashes of what once was. We have Ye Huairui, a man of logic and sharp academic mind, yet one who possesses a quiet gentleness when faced with the inexplicable.

Contrasting him is the captivating Yin Jiaming. Even though he is falsely accused and facing imminent death, he remains open-minded and occasionally playful. Their love blooms through written messages, becoming a source of strength that helps both of them overcome difficulties to find justice.

Why You’ll Fall in Love

• The unique concept of connecting through time via an antique desk creates an atmosphere that is both hauntingly mysterious and deeply romantic.
• Sharp psychological characterization that balances the gravity of autopsy work with witty, charming dialogue.
• A coherent investigation that unravels the 1982 tragedy one step at a time in a truly gripping way.
• The effortless chemistry between the leads creates moments that are both sweet and soul-stirring.

A Few Soft Sighs

• The pacing in some technical investigative chapters might feel a bit slow for those who prefer a non-stop thrill ride.
• Because early interactions are limited to writing, some supporting characters don't get much time in the spotlight.

Rhythm and Atmosphere

The story moves at a graceful pace, never rushing, allowing deep emotions to take root in your heart. It is bathed in the nostalgia of the 80s, beautifully blended with the crisp modernity of the new century.

The prose is like silk, painting a picture of love that is both aching and full of light. Watching the journey to change Yin Jiaming's fate makes your heart flutter, desperately wishing for a happy ending for them both.
