A Brutal Wake-Up Call

Hey there, thrill-seeking fujoshi! If you're totally sick of those cavity-inducing, super sweet romance stories, brace yourselves for a dive into the dark side! This wild ride kicks off with our main man Ji Qu suspecting that his dear husband—the guy sharing his bed every night—is actually plotting to murder him to keep a dark secret safe.

The heartbreak turns to pure rage when he catches his trashy slag gong of a husband cheating on him right behind his back with his childhood sweetheart. Pushed to the brink by this ultimate betrayal, our protagonist doesn't just sit around crying like a victim. Oh no, he draws up a brutally meticulous revenge plan to make that bastard pay dearly!

The Ultimate Game Plan

So, what happens when the betrayed victim turns out to be a brilliant, ice-cold, and calculated writer who also happens to have a mysterious three-year gap of amnesia? Through his unique perspective, you'll be dragged headfirst into a mind-bending maze of cunning schemes and terrifyingly brilliant psychological manipulation that you just can't look away from.

Our main lead calls himself the "Anonymous Author" or simply "Mr. A," keeping his real name locked away to wrap the entire story in an incredibly chilling, mysterious shroud. His delightfully twisted mind, combined with his utterly ruthless actions, is guaranteed to give you goosebumps in every single chapter!

Master of Puppets

In this high-stakes mental chess match, absolutely everyone around him is instantly reduced to a mere pawn under his masterclass manipulation. From his close pal Editor B to the glamorous Movie Star C Chu Linshan, they all get used to serve his grand design.

Even Police Officer D, named Zhuang Yu, despite his best efforts to save the scumbag husband's childhood bestie, walks straight into the trap. Mr. A's mind games are so ridiculously top-tier that the entire battle of wits stays heart-poundingly intense and breathtaking right up to the very end.

Why You'll Love It

• An incredibly unique psychopathic vibe for our main lead Ji Qu, delivering a refreshingly cold, calculating, and addictive read for fans of pure mind games.
• A blazing-fast pace packed into just thirty-eight chapters, keeping the suspense dialed up to eleven from start to finish with absolutely zero filler.
• Super clever use of anonymous aliases that effortlessly crafts a dark, chilly detective vibe, dripping with paranoia and distrust at every turn.
• A brilliant blend of dark criminal psychology and sharp, ruthless mind manipulation played out between the main and supporting cast.
• A fantastic take on a realistic revenge plot without relying on any "golden fingers," letting the protagonist's genius brain take center stage.

The Not-So-Perfect Parts

• The psychological development of a few side characters feels a bit rushed, failing to build them up as a truly worthy counterweight to our devious protagonist.
• The overall atmosphere is incredibly heavy and dark, with constant mental violence that definitely won't sit well with readers looking for a cozy, lighthearted escape.
• Some of the mystery resolutions toward the end wrap up a tad too fast, leaving you feeling just a bit regretful and wanting more.
• The potential relationship with Movie Star C Chu Linshan in the extra chapter isn't fully fleshed out, which might leave you hanging.
