A Whimsical Setting and Premise

With a total length of 70 completed chapters, this is a perfect pick for anyone looking for a quick and lighthearted read. Our protagonist, Yu Yan, was originally the noble cat king before an unexpected transmigration landed him inside a cultivation novel. Unfortunately, he’s stuck in the role of a disposable stand-in character.

Waking up mid-leap off a cliff, he discovers the Demon Lord Duan Lin is currently imprisoned in the depths below. Knowing full well that this antagonist is a massive cat lover, Yu Yan immediately shifts into a kitten to get close. His endgame? To siphon spiritual energy and level up his cultivation.

Dealing With a Cat-Obsessed Overlord

The dynamic between the two is built on pure, unadulterated indulgence. Demon Lord Duan Lin exhibits an extreme possessiveness toward his little kitten. He is more than willing to spoil his pet to high heaven without ever suspecting a thing.

Living as a cat for ten years leads to plenty of comedic moments. The turning point comes when Yu Yan suddenly shifts back into human form right in the Demon Lord's arms. From there, their relationship blossoms into something incredibly sweet and heartwarming.

Narrative Style and Reader Experience

You should note that the story focuses primarily on a laid-back atmosphere. The plot moves at a gentle pace, prioritizing cuteness over intense combat or high-stakes action. The writing is smooth, making it a very fluid experience for the reader.

The cunning hidden behind the protagonist's innocent facade makes for great entertainment. The daily interactions between the pair keep the story full of laughter. Readers will find this journey to be a very pleasant and easygoing ride.
