Unique Worldbuilding

The work opens with a compelling apocalypse setting where humanity constantly faces unpredictable threats from mysterious Contamination Rifts. The toxicity measurement system through Contamination Levels, with a threshold of 103, is constructed extremely logically and in great detail by the author.

Establishing these clear life-and-death boundaries not only creates constant tension throughout the narrative but also strongly reinforces the science fiction nature of the work. Readers will surely be convinced by the unique operational mechanisms of the mutant powers that emerge within this world.

Two Character Extremes

The protagonist Shen Ji is a transmigrated reporter, now a powerful Level S Pollutant who nonetheless retains his human consciousness. To survive within a dangerous human society, he must wear black-rimmed glasses and disguise himself as a highly responsible pollution healer.

His primary foil is Li Zhiyan, an S-class Mutant possessing the Mimic Butterfly ability and striking white hair. The complex interaction between a cunning pollutant and a cold, eccentric captain creates underground battles of wits that are incredibly intense and fascinating.

Sharp Supporting Cast

The work does not neglect its supporting characters, providing them with distinct roles that effectively drive the main plot. The appearance of companion Mutants like Zhou Ye or Chen Ting makes the panoramic view of the post-apocalyptic world feel more vivid.

Furthermore, the support from an intelligent robot System helps Shen Ji hide his true identity perfectly from his opponent's suspicions. The relationship between the members of Special Action Team No. 6 also provides a much-needed sense of warmth.

Notable Strengths

• A unique concept where the protagonist, originally a terrifying Level S Pollutant, must disguise himself as a responsible pollution healer to integrate into society, bringing many humorous and interesting moments.
• An extremely logical world System with strict Contamination Levels parameters, providing a realistic feel to the journey of fighting against Contamination Rifts.
• The romantic relationship between Shen Ji and Li Zhiyan progresses naturally, blending initial suspicion with deep understanding after life-and-death battles at Abyss Zero.
• The author skillfully plants mysterious clues and resolves them satisfactorily through the characters' sharp deductions, allowing the plot to maintain constant suspense.

Weaknesses to Consider

• The early chapters contain many complex science fiction terms related to contamination, which might make the start feel a bit dry and difficult to approach for some readers.
• A few potential supporting characters, such as Kang Xiaodong or the psychic Qin Changye, have not yet had enough screen time to fully reveal their prominent roles in the main storyline.
