A Hilariously Messy Start

Hey fellow bookworms, get ready for a transmigration mission that is as unique as it is chaotic! In this story, we follow a modern-day playboy named JiYuan who suddenly kicks the bucket due to alcohol poisoning.

When he wakes up, his soul has jumped straight into an ice-cold beauty who is currently being held captive by a demon king to be forced into a marriage with the villain. The kicker? This "beauty" is actually a real man who was raised as a girl because of his family’s superstitious beliefs.

Just as he hits a dead end, a weird System pops into his head, announcing his soul will be wiped if he doesn't clear the mission. Now, he has to clear his name of murder charges while struggling to survive some seriously wild trials.

Realistic Character Design

Our lead JiYuan is the absolute highlight that keeps you glued to the screen throughout this fun ride. Even though he was a total hedonist back in the modern world, he adapts lightning-fast and acts in a totally reliable way in his new life.

Since JiYuan is already gay, his emotional arc in this Danmei story feels incredibly natural and convincing. He never acts weak or annoying; instead, he stays sharp enough to handle adversity with a very practical mindset.

Serving as his ultimate sidekick is the System AI living in his head. This character constantly drops random tasks along with witty banter, bringing plenty of laughs and unexpected moments for us readers.

Sweet Romance and Intriguing Mystery

The male lead Ye Junchi shows up looking devilishly handsome with a mysterious identity as a demon king or demon. He is domineering and possessive but never goes overboard; on the contrary, he is incredibly dedicated and steady.

The relationship between Ye Junchi and JiYuan develops in a totally sweet and adorable way chapter by chapter. Ye Junchi's rock-solid presence is the perfect support system that helps JiYuan tackle tough challenges and finish dangerous missions.

The supporting cast is also well-defined, adding layers to this gripping fantasy plot. The cousin JiChen, despite his fragile health and illness, is a kind-hearted person who always treated the body's original owner with kindness.

Meanwhile, the father JiXuan heads toward Nanhu with the Zhao family following rumors of ZhaoYang's death. These vague clues paint a mysterious and alluring picture that will keep you guessing.

The Big Wins

• The transmigration hook involving a guy trapped in a cross-dressing body is super unique, leading to tons of hilariously awkward situations.
• JiYuan handles every situation with a smart, practical head on his shoulders and never gets on your nerves as the story unfolds.
• The romance between the leads is built on mutual understanding and respect rather than being forced, making it super sweet.
• The System sidekick is surprisingly well-written, highly interactive, and drops some seriously savage and witty lines.
• The plot is concise and ties up loose ends cleanly, making for a smooth, non-stop reading experience that never gets boring.

A Few Cons

• The story doesn't really build a specific power system or cultivation ranks for the characters to show off.
• Details regarding the family drama or JiXuan's trip sometimes feel a bit rushed and lack deep exploration.
• The ancient fantasy world-building isn't fully expanded, as the focus stays mainly on the main character's investigation missions.
