A Patch for Love

Ever wondered how a pro handles hitting a midlife crisis? Set in the year 2035, this story follows Xu Youyan, a high-and-mighty game developer. She’s under a ton of pressure as her career starts to plateau, and the struggle is real.

To find some creative spark for her new dating game project, she decides to swallow her pride and experience dating firsthand. But her unexpected run-in with Shi Yue throws all her carefully calculated plans right out the window.

A Clash of Two Personalities

The absolute highlight of this story is the sharp contrast between our two leads. Xu Youyan comes across as an arrogant game industry big shot—the type who says "no" with her mouth but secretly craves affection in her heart.

By her side is Shi Yue, a young, energetic athlete. Though she looks as sweet as a little puppy, she’s actually incredibly bold, always taking the lead and bravely wearing her heart on her sleeve.

Blending Two Worlds

The author Ninh Viễn has crafted a modern setting with a light, cozy sci-fi vibe. Their relationship doesn't just grow in real life; it blossoms beautifully within the game's virtual world as well.

Shi Yue's heartfelt and bold care constantly catches Xu Youyan off guard. Can a heart frozen by the anxieties of aging really resist such a warm, sweet gesture?

Every little moment of care between them is painted with such nuance and realism. It creates this cozy, warm atmosphere that feels like a big hug, offering a deep sense of healing for the reader.

A Few Things to Note
