A Hilariously Chaotic Start
The story kicks off with a truly ridiculous situation involving the second-generation ancestor Qin Wanwan, who is living her best salted fish life in the Immortal Realm. Thanks to her parents' protection and bribes everywhere, she has managed to maintain a flashy, fake reputation without ever putting any effort into cultivation.
However, her peaceful days come to a screeching halt when Jian Xingzhi—a powerful sword cultivator known by the title Sui Heng—comes looking for a duel, lured by her inflated reputation. The match ends in a total blowout, and his lethal sword strike kicks her straight into a bizarre novel.
Survival at the Judgement Platform
Right after transmigrating, Qin Wanwan is horrified to find herself being dragged onto the cold Judgement Platform. She has inherited the tragic fate of the original villainess, Qin Wan, with the crowd baying for her blood for her crimes against the original female lead.
Hanging by a thread, she vows to find the person responsible for her transmigration and exact her revenge. However, in a cruel twist of fate, she unknowingly teams up with a man labeled as a soft rice man, unaware that he is actually her arch-rival.
Unique Character Dynamics
Our protagonist, Qin Wanwan, claims she just wants to be a lazy slacker, but deep down, she is actually a total berserker sword fighter. This extreme contrast leads to some hilarious moments whenever she is forced to fight to protect her own life.
Meanwhile, the top-tier expert Jian Xingzhi has to navigate this new world under the constraints of a strange system. His forced status as a dependent turns him into a total lovable dork, creating a mismatched dynamic that is absolutely comedy gold.
A Layered Fantasy World
The world-building is cleverly layered, jumping from the Immortal Realm into the world of another novel. The stark contrast between her former carefree life and this harsh, dangerous reality provides a solid driving force for character growth.
Having the two leads be secret rivals forced to survive together allows the author to explore some great psychological depth. It is not just a story about a villainess escaping her fate, but a journey of self-discovery for both of them.
What Makes It Great
- A highly unique setup that completely subverts traditional xianxia tropes.
- The charming interaction between the star-crossed pair feels natural, avoiding forced drama or repetitive tropes.
- The plot is well-structured, skillfully blending laugh-out-loud comedy with poignant, emotional moments.
- The romance develops naturally, built on mutual understanding and shared survival in a dangerous new world.
A Few Drawbacks
- The system elements in the early stages occasionally limit the male lead's ability to show his true power.
- The pacing of a few conflict resolutions at the Judgement Platform felt a bit rushed, missing the chance to maximize the tension.
- The fact that the two main characters hide their true identities from each other for a long time might frustrate some readers.

Final Verdict
This novel is an ideal choice for anyone looking for lighthearted entertainment that still offers depth. The witty banter between the main couple is guaranteed to provide some great relaxation after a long day.
However, if you prefer serious cultivation stories with strictly defined stages, this might not be your cup of tea. Go in with an open mind to fully enjoy the humor and warmhearted romance the author delivers.
In short, Tian Xing Wan is a high-quality read with a funny plot, unique characters, and a sweet romance. This hilarious role-reversal between the salted fish and the soft rice man definitely won't disappoint over its 119-chapter run.
