New Beginnings in Space

The story kicks off with a rather absurd situation for Yuan Yi. Once a brilliant medical student who had just saved up enough to buy his own apartment, he suddenly undergoes transmigration after a long night's sleep.

Waking up, he is horrified to find himself inhabiting the body of an Omega college student in a futuristic world. Having lost all his degrees, career, and home from his past life, he is left in a terrible bind.

Desperate for a stable place to live, he has no choice but to accept his uncle's arrangement for a proxy marriage. His nominal spouse is Li Heng, a major general who has officially been declared dead in action.

Unique Character Dynamics

The real charm of the novel lies in its exceptionally well-crafted main characters. Yuan Yi is a calm, composed Omega who swears by science and happens to be a fantastic cook.

On the other side, Li Heng is an Alpha general possessing extraordinarily powerful genetics. He has the ability to stabilize the volatile emotions of other Alphas, carrying himself with a shrewd yet rock-solid demeanor.

The combination of a pragmatic modern thinker and an elite warrior creates the ultimate balance. Their romance develops naturally and quite convincingly with every single chapter.

Future Meets Folklore

Blending a sci-fi setting with quirky supernatural elements gives readers plenty of laughs. When weird occurrences keep happening around the house, Yuan Yi starts getting suspicious.

Convinced that his late husband has actually returned as a restless spirit, and trusting his practical mindset, he decides to set up a proper altar complete with incense, a black-and-white portrait, and even spirit money for the general.

His offerings paired with hilarious messages result in endless laughs. The clash between futuristic technology and traditional rituals serves as the absolute highlight here.

Standout Strengths

• The premise of marrying a military memorial tablet only to find out the man is actually alive creates a great deal of curiosity for readers.
• The futuristic world-building featuring the Alpha and Omega system feels entirely natural without being bogged down by overly heavy exposition.
• The romance is sweet and heartwarming, with both characters showing each other deep mutual respect and understanding.
• The pacing is well-balanced; the 80 main chapters and 20 side stories ensure the plot never feels stretched thin.

Things to Keep in Mind

• Readers should note that Yuan Yi's medical background is not explored deeply after his transmigration.
• Supporting characters like the uncle and extended family only serve as background figures to push the plot forward in the beginning.
• Military battles involving the First Star Fleet serve primarily as a backdrop to facilitate the development of the characters' relationship.

Community Reception

• Novel Updates: 4.0 / 5.0 (93 votes, checked on 05/10/2026). Global readers rave about the unique humor and the adorable chemistry between the main couple.

Final Thoughts from a Reader

This book breathes fresh life into the interstellar genre by tossing hilarious supernatural tropes into a high-tech setting. Watching these two build a life together makes for a deeply comforting and relaxing read.

If you are hunting for a chill story free of exhausting, high-stakes conflicts, this is definitely the one to pick up. It guarantees a thoroughly entertaining time from start to finish.
