The Rise of an Accidental Boss

This is a total treat for anyone who loves hilarious, feel-good web novels mixed with Western mythology! The story kicks off when Xiu Si wakes up after thousands of years only to find himself as a weak antique shop owner. But behind his ordinary facade lies the grand title of Lord of the Abyss, crowned by none other than his own loyal demons.

A Highly Unique Character Setup

Instead of being an OP god of war right off the bat, our protagonist Xiu Si was originally a 3D designer from Blue Star. Armed with his unique Creator ability, he can summon creatures but struggles heavily to level up and has zero Magic Power of his own. The contrast between his calm, humble personality and the over-the-top worship from his subordinates leads to endless hilarious misunderstandings.

The Wholesome Bond with His Monster Kids

Xiu Si is far from alone on his journey, as he constantly reunites with the monsters he created in the past. They are fiercely loyal and always on standby to protect their 'weak' father in this chaotic new world. Plus, the addition of the enthusiastic priest Xilin as a companion makes the story even more lively and heartwarming.

Why You Should Give It a Read

• The world-building of the Abyss and the Human Era is incredibly fresh and engaging.
• No messy romance plots here—just pure adventure and heartwarming family vibes.
• Natural comedy driven by the side characters constantly overestimating the MC's power.
• The details of a damaged System create an exciting hurdle, forcing the protagonist to unravel the mysteries himself.

A Few Minor Nitpicks

• The early pacing is relatively slow due to heavy world-building and setup.
• Since the MC's power relies entirely on summoned creatures, there's a lack of direct, face-to-face solo combat.

Community Reception

• Novel Updates: 4.2/5 (15 ratings, checked on October 3, 2026).

Readers on the platform highly praise the creative world-building of the Abyss and the heartwarming relationships between the characters. The perfect blend of comedy and fantasy adventure has earned the novel plenty of positive feedback.

Final Thoughts

With a very manageable length, this is definitely a high-quality read for anyone looking for a change of pace. It's incredibly entertaining while still maintaining a satisfying depth in its plot twists.

In short: A highly creative Western fantasy featuring the extremely entertaining journey of an accidental Lord of the Abyss reclaiming his power.
