A Trip Down Memory Lane

The story kicks off with a fascinating premise: our protagonist, Qin Shiwu, is suddenly whisked away on a bizarre time travel journey to the past. He finds himself stuck right in the middle of his parents' high school years—a time when they were both rebellious teenagers who hadn't even met yet.

Once there, he has to face some pretty hilarious and shocking truths about his parents' younger days. It turns out his father, Qin Chu, was a notorious school bully, while his mother, Lu Tong, was an incredibly cold and arrogant Alpha.

A Unique World-Building Twist

Another standout feature is the author's use of an intriguing ABO system as the backdrop. The characters' roles are strictly defined by these unique biological traits, which leads to plenty of awkward and funny situations for the main cast.

In this world, Alpha individuals represent the group with superior strength and high social status in school. Omega characters have a unique role of attraction in romantic relationships, while the existence of Beta remains a piece that has not yet been fully explored.

Family Ties and Youthful Romance

Readers get a front-row seat to a complex psychological shift as the protagonist tries to piece together his parents' history. Originally, Qin Chu and Lu Tong were bitter rivals, constantly at each other's throats during their high school days.

Through the son's humorous lens, the transition from sworn enemies to genuine lovers is depicted with a lot of heart. Plus, the presence of a best friend named Guapitou provides plenty of natural comic relief.

Why This Story Stands Out

• It skillfully blends family-oriented themes with danmei elements, delivering a perfect mix of laughter and emotional moments.

• The supporting cast, especially the lovable classmate Guapitou, is well-developed, making the school atmosphere feel incredibly authentic.

• The protagonist's journey to truly understand his parents offers deep insights into bridging the gap between generations.

• The story is well-paced, striking a great balance between high school comedy and those warm, everyday moments.

Things to Know Before Reading

Be aware that the novel is still ongoing on digital platforms. This might be a bit frustrating if you're the type who prefers to binge-read a completed series in one go.

Additionally, the specific use of the ABO system means you'll need some prior familiarity with the trope. If you've never encountered these sci-fi/fantasy biological concepts before, the first few chapters might be a little confusing.

Community Reception

The story has garnered very positive feedback across social media and major web novel forums. Its fresh take on family dynamics through a comedic lens is definitely its biggest selling point.

The Heart of the Story

Digging deeper, readers will find a profound message about generational understanding within a family. The protagonist's quest isn't just about curiosity; it's an effort to reconcile and connect with a complex past.

The parents' past misunderstandings are slowly unraveled through a lens that is objective, forgiving, and full of love from their son. This elevates the story beyond a simple romance and really pulls at your heartstrings.
