A Biological Paradox

The story introduces a truly unique premise within the familiar Omega and Alpha world. Our protagonist, Yue Ran, is an Omega cursed with a bizarre pheromone mutation. Instead of emitting a sweet, irresistible scent, his pheromones actually repel every Alpha in sight.

This mutation instantly shatters his dreams of finding college romance, turning him into a bit of a loner. To escape his depressing reality, he decides to dive into the world of online games. Little does he know, this is where he will finally meet his true destiny.

The fictional biological setting becomes incredibly lively thanks to this narrative reversal. Yue Ran finds himself in one absurd situation after another as he tries to navigate a society rife with gender-based prejudice.

Virtual World Fate

The chaos kicks off when Yue Ran and Jiang Xiao accidentally buy each other's game accounts. Operating under the IDs Vault of Heavens Essence and Smashing Vault of Heaven, they are forced to cross paths, leading to a hilarious chain of awkward encounters between two complete strangers.

To help his cousin Qin Xiujie pursue his crush, the two decide to fake a relationship. However, during their time spent together, the cold and detached Alpha Jiang Xiao slowly starts to develop real feelings for his friend's cousin.

The online game serves as a perfect bridge, allowing them to drop their guards and understand each other. Their combat synergy and witty banter are the highlights that draw them together in the most natural way possible.

Character Growth

Yue Ran is written as a classic tsundere—prickly on the outside but adorable within. His constant worry over his "defect" makes him vehemently oppose any romance at first. His deep-seated insecurity as a mutant Omega makes him hesitant to open his heart.

In contrast, Jiang Xiao might have the icy aura of a typical Alpha, but he is incredibly devoted to his partner. He is willing to persevere through the pursuit and accept any bizarre condition thrown his way. His unwavering sincerity is the key that finally unlocks Yue Ran's heart.

The shift in Yue Ran's attitude from guarded to completely trusting is a major high point. Readers will feel the warmth in Jiang Xiao's small acts of care and genuine affection for him.

Notable Strengths

• The fresh concept of mutated pheromones provides plenty of natural laughs for the reader.
• The sweet chemistry and the patient, heartwarming process of pursuit between the main leads.
• Supporting characters like Qin Xiujie and Papa Yue are well-rounded and add great comedic value.
• A briskly paced story at only 68 chapters, ensuring it never feels dragged out or boring.

Minor Drawbacks

• As a light entertainment piece, the plot lacks deep world-building or academic exploration of classic Omega lore.
• Since the focus is on comedy, the gaming matches aren't particularly dramatic or strategically intense.
• The initial phase of their fake relationship has a few moments that feel slightly contrived to force a connection.
