A Highly Impressive Start

If you're completely sick of generic, punch-em-up action stories, this one is guaranteed to be a breath of fresh air. The brilliant blend of science fiction and epic battles crafts a massive, lore-rich world. With its breakneck pacing, the story easily hooks you right from the very first page.

The plot kicks off with devastating spacequake disasters that have wiped out hundreds of millions of lives across the globe over the last thirty years. But the ultimate twist? The source of all this destruction stems from the Spirits, who happen to take the form of beautiful young girls. This unique "date to save the world" premise sets the stage for an absolutely riveting journey.

A Unique Sealing Mechanism

Instead of defeating his opponents with brute force, our male lead must find a way to make these girls open up and share their most sincere love. This challenging power-sealing mechanism—which requires a sweet kiss—sparks countless hilarious and chaotic situations. The masterful blend of romance and world-saving stakes makes the story incredibly hard to put down.

Every Spirits arrives with her own destructive power, deeply tied to ancient lore. They don gorgeous Astral Dress armor and wield incredibly powerful Angel weapons to protect themselves. What really ups the ante, though, are their inverse states that turn them into terrifying Demon entities, paving the way for some of the most intense showdowns in the series.

A Highly Engaging Cast

High school student Itsuka Shido is a genuinely kind-hearted protagonist who is always ready to put his life on the line for others. He possesses the unique ability to absorb and seal ninety-nine percent of a target's power. Watching him grow and mature through each grueling trial feels incredibly satisfying and realistic.

The massive female cast acts as a powerful magnet that keeps readers hooked throughout this long journey. From the innocent and naive Tohka Yatogami, to the authoritative Kotori Itsuka, and the alluring yet highly dangerous Kurumi Tokisaki. Each girl has her own distinct personality and a tear-jerking backstory that will pull at your heartstrings.

A Few Minor Flaws

• The formulaic approach to meeting and saving the Spirits can feel a bit repetitive in the middle volumes, which might drag slightly for binge-readers.
• Complex sci-fi systems like the Realizer Unit might prove confusing for newcomers who are diving into the genre for the first time.
• Some supporting characters don't get enough spotlight or depth, which is bound to happen given the massive cast packed into a single storyline.
• The threat posed by the antagonistic DEM Industries occasionally lacks tension and punch during some of the novel's key battle sequences.
