A Resilient Journey of Rebirth
The story opens with the tragic life of Ji Ning on Earth, where he struggles against a terminal illness. Passing away at a tender young age, his early departure tempers a steadfast will and an intense yearning for life within him.
Thanks to his accumulated merits, he is guided by Judge Cui to reincarnate into a vast cultivation world teeming with Fiendgods. Here, wrapped in the warm embrace of the Ji Clan, his journey to rise above fate officially begins.
A Vast cultivation World
The world building expands continuously from minor tribal disputes to life-or-death battles against the mysterious Seamless Gate. The cultivation system is remarkably massive and structured, guiding readers through every step of the character's growth.
From the initial stages like Houtian or Xiantian, the character must strive to overcome countless trials to reach the pinnacle as an Autarch and a Chaos Universe Controller. This progression arc constantly fuels readers with excitement and curiosity.
Deep and Meaningful Bonds
I was deeply moved by how the author portrays family bonds, love, and friendship. The image of the strict yet boundlessly loving father, Ji Yichuan, leaves a profound imprint on the reader's heart.
The unforgettable, soul-stirring love between Ji Ning and his Dao companion, Yu Wei, also draws many tears. Meanwhile, the companionship of friends like Mu Zishuo, Uncle White, and Autumn Leaf warms an otherwise lonely journey.
Praiseworthy Highlights
- Character development features deep psychological depth, resilience, and great benevolence.
- The cultivation hierarchy is rich and logical, from mortal to the peak of the Dao path.
- Battles are depicted with thrilling intensity on an epic scale.
- Family dynamics and romance bring many deeply emotional moments.
A Few Minor Regrets
- An exceptionally long journey can easily make readers feel the pacing becomes diluted in some of the middle chapters.
- The sheer volume of complex terminology requires patience to remember.
