An Impossible Mission

If you think a fifteen-year-old girl's life should only revolve around textbooks and fancy afternoon tea, think again! Just look at the utterly ridiculous situation our girl Raze Orphan has found herself in. Armed with memories of her past life, she worked her butt off to become an elite female soldier of the Cyan Empire with some seriously impressive combat skills.

But instead of kicking butt on the windswept battlefields, she gets slapped with a bizarre, top-secret undercover mission at the Centrior Imperial Magic Academy. Posing as Raze Granoli, she has to play the part of an ordinary student while secretly babysitting high-society brats—including the crown prince himself.

All the glitz and glam of the high-and-mighty nobles just leaves a practical, no-nonsense soldier like her completely exhausted and baffled. To make matters worse, she stumbles upon a mind-blowing secret: this world is actually an otome game packed with romantic landmines!

High School Meets Battlefield

The clash between a pragmatic military mindset and a cheesy, romantic high school setting is absolute gold. Our heroine is an overpowered warrior packed with lethal skills, yet she has to play dumb and blend in as a background character. Watching all the overly dramatic, lovey-dovey tropes unfold right in front of her leaves her utterly speechless and sighing in exasperation.

Things get even more chaotic when a self-proclaimed villainess pops up, bringing a landslide of trouble with her. Our soldier-turned-student has to juggle protecting her targets while desperately dodging random death flags that could trigger at any second. This quirky blend of spy action and daily school life keeps the pacing super smooth and enjoyable.

The Misfit Squad

Surrounding our undercover bodyguard is a colorful cast of supporting characters who play major roles in the original game's plot. First up is Karna, her close friend who happens to be the game's main villainess, constantly dragging them into hilarious situations. Then there's Folia, a sweet girl with incredible healing powers who becomes another tight-knit friend of our protagonist.

And of course, we can't forget Adis, the son of the powerful Imperial Prime Minister and one of the game's main love interests. He takes a special interest in and has huge affection for our undercover soldier, leading to some adorable interactions. The chemistry among this group of friends brings plenty of heartwarming and laugh-out-loud moments to the story.

What Makes It Shine

• An incredibly fun protagonist who perfectly balances the fierce, decisive nature of a battle-hardened soldier with the hilarious social awkwardness of a normal teen.
• Solving absurd otome game tropes with a practical military mindset is absolutely hilarious and keeps the laughs coming.
• The friendships are portrayed with genuine warmth, especially the adorable bond between our soldier girl and the noble Karna.
• The story has tight pacing and a concise length of just ninety-three chapters, meaning zero filler or dragged-out drama.

A Few Minor Gripes

• The romance is a slow burn—and by slow, I mean snail-paced—thanks to our protagonist's hilarious dense-as-a-rock military mindset.
• Some high school conflicts feel a bit too convenient and get resolved too easily, failing to fully showcase her jaw-dropping military capabilities.
• The political and military lore of the Cyan Empire mostly serves as background flavor rather than getting a deep, detailed exploration.
