The Poker Face and the Dinosaur Onesie

Have you ever wondered if those pro players who look so distant and serious on stage are actually that cold in real life? In the world of e-sports, the youngest captain, Yu Zhaohan, is the perfect example of this adorable contradiction. To shoulder the weight of the entire R.H club, he's forced to put on his most unshakable poker face and calm facade.

But behind that icy exterior lies a completely innocent soul who loves sweets and is obsessed with super cute dinosaur pajamas. This delightfully unexpected contrast between the legendary, sharp-shooting Sniper known as Shine on the battlefield, and a shy, easily flustered boy in real life is exactly what makes this story so incredibly sweet.

When the Secret Unravels

Can such a cute secret stay hidden forever, especially under the sharp eyes of a new teammate? Everything begins to shift when the talented young player Shi Du joins the roster as an Assassin with the ID Timeless. Arrogant yet fiercely straightforward, he doesn't take long to pierce through the armor and discover the captain's soft and gentle inner world.

Instead of exposing him, Shi Du chooses to gently shield and pamper his captain with a rare, heartwarming sensitivity. Their romance develops so naturally through tiny everyday gestures, from home-cooked meals to adorable sleeping-in moments. You will definitely find yourself grinning at how they build mutual trust and step by step draw closer to one another.

Teammates and Team Spirit

A powerhouse team doesn't just rely on lone-wolf superstars carrying the game; it needs the perfect synergy of a colorful cast of characters. Alongside our main duo, you'll fall in love with the hilarious and passionate teammates of R.H. From the loud-mouthed Support player R.H.Cheese to key members like Qi Xian and Lao Tan, all guided by the steady hand of Coach Lu.

While the novel doesn't dive too deep into mind-bending tactics or high-stress matches, the author still beautifully showcases Yu Zhaohan's pinpoint Sniper play style, perfectly synced with Shi Du's aggressive Assassin maneuvers. Even fleeting conversations about Shi Du's mother bring a warm, slice-of-life touch to the story. It all comes together to paint a meaningful picture of growing up together as young esports pros.

Why You'll Love This Sweet Ride

A Few Heads-Up for Thrill-Seekers

However, this book might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially if you're looking for nail-biting, high-stakes matches. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you dive in:

• The in-game professional matches aren't super detailed and lack complex tactical depth.
• The pacing is mostly slice-of-life, which might feel a bit slow-paced for readers who prefer non-stop action.
• Some plotlines lean heavily toward the romance rather than the professional competitive side of an esports team.
