My Favorable Rating Does Not Rise
The arrival of a mysterious child brought home by her father completely upended Licca Belmonte's peaceful life. The moment they met, a strange status screen materialized, revealing the boy's personal details.
This event triggered the protagonist's reincarnation memories, making her realize she was living in the world of an otome game her younger sister once played. However, the -30 favorability rating staring back at her was a cold wake-up call to her expectations.
Bridging the Distance
Unlike similar stories that rely on manipulating stats, Licca Belmonte faces her reality through keen observation. She spends her time learning the small habits and favorite foods of her prickly stepbrother.
The author builds the connection between the two children slowly and naturally, without forcing progress or over-romanticizing the situation. Her sincerity is the only key to gradually shifting his harsh perspective.
A Minimalist system
The system interface is kept simple, displaying only names, ages, favorite foods, and bond levels. By stripping away complex stats, the narrative stays focused on the psychological growth of the characters.
The world is viewed through the eyes of a wealthy merchant's daughter, striking a balance between daily life and fantasy. Her otome game memories serve as a quiet guide to navigating her new life.
The Reader's Experience
Readers who appreciate subtle Romance Fantasy will easily connect with the delicate emotional shifts within the family. Watching her patiently close the distance feels incredibly peaceful and grounded.
However, for those expecting intense drama or high-stakes conflict, the slow pace might feel a bit stagnant. Every tension is resolved with a warm touch rather than explosive confrontation.
Notable Strengths
- Psychological Depth: The emotional bond between Licca Belmonte and her stepbrother develops naturally and convincingly.
- Clean Execution: The status screen mechanics are clear and never clutter the main narrative flow.
- Character Writing: The protagonist is calm, observant, and acts with genuine sincerity.
- Atmosphere: The entire work provides a gentle, relaxing experience for those looking to unwind.
Existing Limitations
- Slow Pace: The story unfolds leisurely, requiring a certain level of patience from the reader.
- Narrow Scope: The setting is largely confined to the merchant estate, with little exploration of the wider world.
- Lack of Drama: Situations are handled quite safely, lacking major twists or high-impact climaxes.
Final Verdict
This work is a quiet standout for anyone seeking a moment of calm in the reincarnation genre. It reminds us that sometimes patience and genuine care are the most powerful tools for connection.
Bottom line: A heartwarming Romance Fantasy that successfully portrays the journey of using sincerity to melt a -30 favorability rating gap.
