A Fate Sparked by a Mistake

The story kicks off with a bizarre twist when the henchmen of a triad boss pull off a kidnapping, but grab the wrong guy. Instead of their actual target, they bring back someone with an incredibly powerful background, setting off a chain of events that rewrite their destinies.

Have you ever thought a reckless provocation could weave such a complex web of relationships? This very mix-up forces Bian Yiqiu and Ke Mingxuan into a tense, high-stakes game of cat and mouse.

Their journey doesn't start on a sweet note; instead, it's packed with calculated moves and a purely instinctual physical arrangement. Yet, that initial physical connection becomes the catalyst that slowly coaxes their deepest feelings into the light.

Bian Yiqiu and His Quest for Legitimacy

Bian Yiqiu is crafted as a powerful underworld boss who secretly yearns to go legit. He isn't just cool and dominant; he carries himself with a fierce, decisive authority.

Despite leading a syndicate, Bian Yiqiu isn't nearly as cold-blooded as people think. His interactions with his close friend, a painter named Lu Xiao, reveal a softer, gentler side hidden beneath the surface.

Can someone who has lived in the shadows actually find the light when faced with true love? His struggle to escape his past to protect the one he loves is incredibly moving and brings out some deeply emotional moments.

Ke Mingxuan and Military Might

Standing opposite the underworld boss is Ke Mingxuan, the son of a powerful military general. Boasting an elite pedigree, he exudes the calm, confident aura of someone who holds absolute power.

Raised under his father's strict discipline and his mother Xia Qinghe's care, Ke Mingxuan is exceptionally resilient. He doesn't flinch at Bian Yiqiu's provocations; instead, he effortlessly takes control of the game.

The stark contrast between the underworld and a military dynasty sparks some intense drama-filled conflicts. Yet, the unexpected pull of attraction is so strong that even a highly rational man like him can't help but fall.

When Lust Turns Into Love

Starting as a relationship built purely on desire, the boundary between lust and genuine affection blurs subtly and masterfully. Both characters find themselves facing feelings they never saw coming.

The author does a fantastic job portraying the inner turmoil when they realize they've become so much more than just physical partners. Quiet gestures of care and mutual sacrifices gradually replace their intense mind games.

You'll watch real love blossom from the most mismatched puzzle pieces. It's their sincerity that helps them rise above their background differences to build a stable future together.
