A Surprisingly Bizarre Turning Point

Have you ever read a baihe novel where the female lead has to carry the title of the male lead on her shoulders? This story delivers such a uniquely one-of-a-kind experience that it left me endlessly excited while following along.

Lu Zhi Wei's life was originally extremely obscure, unloved by her father and uncared for by her mother, forcing her to live a lonely existence in this world. Until one day, a male lead halo fell straight out of the sky onto her head, completely disrupting her peaceful life.

Accompanied by it is a hilariously playful yet extremely strict System, forcing her to create a perfect world or face punishment. Being a fragile girl herself who is terrified of pain, she is compelled to accept this challenging mission of playing the male lead.

Two Contrasting Pieces in the entertainment industry

Stepping into the dazzling entertainment industry, Lu Zhi Wei must find a way to approach the original script's heroine, Sang Wan Ci. She has to play the hero to shelter and redeem the life of this gorgeous beauty.

Lu Zhi Wei's gentleness, warmth, and optimistic personality gradually shake the beauty's naturally cold heart. The gorgeous rising star suddenly softens and falls for the sincere care from the other person.

What makes it interesting is that this relationship completely deviates from the initial script trajectory set by the system. Instead of loving the second male lead Ying Xi Ze, the haughty heroine ends up falling in love with our female lead playing the male role.

The Appeal of the Characters

I truly appreciate how the author builds the romance between the two main characters so naturally and convincingly. Every caring gesture and every tiny encouraging word draw two lonely souls closer together amidst the harsh showbiz.

The sweet interaction between the two brings an extremely healing feeling to readers throughout the plot. These sweet yet completely uncheesy scenes will definitely make any reader squeal with delight.

Besides, supporting characters like the second male lead Ying Xi Ze and the System itself are all well-developed. The hilarious dialogues and interactions between them bring endless refreshing laughter to the work.

Bright Plus Points

• The relationship between the two main characters develops super naturally, sweetly, and extremely warmly.
• Humorous elements are cleverly woven through hilariously chaotic interactions with the System.
• Supporting characters are vividly constructed with distinct personalities and do not fade into the background.
• The work features little heavy gender drama, creating a wonderful and healing relaxing space for readers.

Regrettable Minus Points

• The early chapters might make readers slightly uncomfortable due to the forced electric shock punishments from the System.
• The pacing in the second half focuses heavily on romance, making the entertainment struggle aspect somewhat mild and predictable.

Community Reviews

• Novel Updates: 10/10 (checked Sep 26, 2026), many readers praise the female lead as an all-time favorite character thanks to her cuteness and the quality translation.
• Reddit (r/BaiHe): Highly positive review (checked Sep 26, 2026), the community loves the natural romantic development, low gender drama, and satisfying happy ending.

A Wonderful Choice for the Soul

I am truly captivated by Lu Zhi Wei's journey from an invisible person to a solid pillar of support. The humor intertwined with warm moments keeps me glued throughout these 88 wonderful chapters.

The novel brings a comforting feeling, washing away all fatigue after a long stressful workday for anyone enjoying it. Don't hesitate to jump in and experience this magnificent and utterly adorable plot twist!

In short: "Outrageous" is an extremely hilarious and sweet system baihe work where love overcomes all barriers of predetermined scripts.
