The Broken Engagement and a Dramatic Twist

Right from the start, the story throws Sonia Carnelian into a dire situation when Crown Prince Rain Mistria publicly annuls their engagement at the wedding. Beyond suffering humiliation in front of the entire nobility, she is falsely accused of being an evil witch.

Instead of panicking or despairing, she faces the crisis with absolute composure thanks to memories of her past life. Realizing this world is actually an anime she once watched allows her to actively seize control of her future and lay out a plan to turn the tables.

Her very first move of retaliation is remarkably decisive: forcing knight Will Obsidia to become her personal servant. This bold play completely derails the plot, triggering a chain of events that goes entirely off the original script.

A Clever Protagonist and Extraordinary Powers

Sonia Carnelian is far from a damsel in distress or someone who relies solely on her reincarnated knowledge. She is a top-tier witch, mastering Seeing Past along with high-level magic to manipulate the situation to her advantage.

Her pragmatic and slightly ruthless personality allows her to eliminate threats decisively yet logically. Never hesitating to employ her wits to protect those she genuinely cares about, she stands out as a sharp and formidable heroine.

Her relationship with Will Obsidia evolves naturally from master and servant into a deep emotional bond. Despite his dangerous Witch Killer bloodline, her unwavering protection of him creates an unbreakable connection between them.

Unveiling Truths and Dark Plot Twists

The plot takes a darker turn as the secrets surrounding the Crimson Witch Alonia Carnelian are unveiled. The mother once hailed as a hero who saved Mistria Kingdom turns out to be the vicious mastermind behind it all.

She murdered her master Jebera to steal credit and secretly used the toxic Rose Gem on Sonia Carnelian to research immortality. Hidden truths about the Core and Sonia Carnelian's quest to uncover memories of her late father bring the story's psychological tension to a boiling point.

Supporting characters like Phantom Gibberd and Coral in Cucurouge Village bring extra depth and flavor to the worldbuilding. Even a cursed child like Raz becomes a major driving force behind her actions.
