The Allure of the Unconventional

As ordinary urban romance stories gradually become saturated, this work by Độc Hành Túy Hạ emerges as a truly fresh phenomenon. This danmei novel unfolds a situation that is as laughable and bizarre as it is peculiar right from the very beginning. Readers will instantly find themselves drawn in by sheer curiosity about a romance that defies all natural laws.

A ten-year relationship shattered by misunderstandings suddenly takes an unexpected turn when the former boyfriend returns carrying a mysterious pregnant belly. The unique fusion of sci-fi elements and humorous romance creates a deeply captivating beginning for readers. The opening pages promise a journey overflowing with unpredictable surprises.

The Calm Doctor and the non-human Lover

The character Fang Xingzhou is a doctor with a calm, serene, and somewhat frail appearance who nonetheless possesses a deeply responsible spirit. Faced with his ex-lover's bizarre bodily transformation, he chooses not to run away but instead stays by his side to care for him. His gentleness and patience serve as the greatest anchor in this relationship.

In contrast, Lu Jianchuan emerges like a passionate mad dog, both perverted and possessing a mesmerizing beauty. His non-human nature gradually reveals itself through the process of brooding an egg, protected by writhing tentacles. His frenzied possessiveness toward his lover simultaneously creates high drama and demonstrates absolute devotion.

A Bizarrely Accepting Family

Not stopping merely at romantic love, the work also delivers heartwarming moments through an unexpectedly heartwarming family relationship. The mother Qi Yilian is an exceptionally unique character who shows zero confusion when faced with this bizarre son-in-law. The way she accepts everything with casual nonchalance brings gentle laughter to readers.

Her nonchalance toward the newborn grandchild emerging from a bloody egg wrapped in tentacles evokes an uncanny sense of peace. It is this unconditional acceptance from a loved one that helps soothe away the monstrous elements of the story. This extraordinary three-generational home gradually emerges in a deeply human and warm light.

Impressions from Reader Communities

Readers who adore niche genres featuring monster elements and high possessiveness will find immense satisfaction within each dramatically charged chapter. They will be captivated by the intensely heated and bizarre interactions between the two main characters throughout the pregnancy. This is undoubtedly a fresh treat for anyone looking to change up their reading palate.

Conversely, those seeking a pure urban romance or who are allergic to bizarre birth elements might feel hesitant. The detailed descriptions of tentacles writhing to protect the egg could pose a major challenge for them. Careful consideration before reading is extremely necessary for this group of readers.
