A Mysterious Beginning in the Afterlife

The story opens with Tang Cuo's sudden death from a traffic accident at the age of 24, thrusting him into a bizarre white-fog space. The novel quickly establishes a gloomy infinite flow world where the newly deceased must face a mysterious raven and are forced to participate in a survival game.

Their destination is Yongye City—a place where the sun never rises, compelling players to continuously take part in trial stages to seek a chance at reincarnation. Spanning 303 chapters and 4 extra stories, the work maintains a thrilling pace and a deeply mysterious atmosphere.

Stat Systems and Harsh Hierarchical Rules

The author builds a very coherent player management mechanism through Character Point and Overall Rating. The fact that Tang Cuo starts with an initial score of -5 yet achieves an A-rank rating creates an intriguing mystery that entices readers to analyze the character's past.

The division of the Yongye City Districts into tiers ranging from A to F reflects the fierce stratification of survival. This mechanism forces characters to constantly calculate benefits and deploy tactics in every single trial.

Sharp Characters and Team Coordination

Tang Cuo emerges as a calm male protagonist template, cold yet immensely brave and intelligent in perilous situations. Serving as his contrasting counterpart is Jin Cheng, his lover and capable companion on the journey to overcome the trials.

The supporting cast brings rich nuances to the lineup, from the talkative teenager Chi Yan to the resilient young girl Zheng Yingying despite suffering from terminal cancer. Furthermore, the appearance of Lilith with her gothic lolita style makes the team even more unique and diverse.
