Twist and Rebirth

Jiang Heng lived a totally carefree life until he turned eighteen, the moment he suddenly found out he was just a fake young master caught up in a swapped-identity scandal. Before he could even process this massive plot twist, he tragically died in a car accident.

Four years later, he woke up to find himself turned into a sickly stray cat. Clueless about basic animal survival, he decided to sneak into A University to hunt for some easy human sucker to score free meals.

Reuniting with an Old Friend

At the campus he had applied to before kicking the bucket, he bumped right into Lu Yichuan, his longtime childhood friend. Now a grad student in the Department of Philosophy and a total gentle male god in everyone's eyes, he ended up adopting the little kitty.

Sharing a roof, Jiang Heng finally realized that Lu Yichuan had been harboring deep feelings for him all these years. The guy showered the little stray cat with endless patience and tenderness, always carrying the memory of his lost buddy.

Emotional Rollercoaster

This danmei ride unfolds mostly through the resilient and optimistic POV of Jiang Heng the cat. Having a human brain stuck trying to navigate a stray cat body leads to tons of hilariously goofy moments.

Still, it's not all sunshine and rainbows; the story drops some heavy, melancholic, and straight-up heartbreaking notes as the past unravels. The clash between the cat's sassy antics and the male lead's quiet longing gives this read a totally unique flavor.

Standout Highlights

• The resilient cat's POV brings a fresh vibe and some easygoing entertainment.

Things to Watch Out For

• The pacing can feel a bit slow and steady since it dives deep into internal monologues.
