An Unwilling Mission

When Shen Wanqing wakes up in a xuanhuan world, she realizes she has transmigration into the body of a vicious female supporting character. The original novel was a sadomasochistic love story where the main couple met a tragic end.

At first, she assumes her task is to drive a wedge between the couple and win over the male lead, following the usual trope. However, the system issues an ironical demand: turn the entire story into a sweet romance.

She must do everything she can to prevent a rift between Ji Feichen and his fiancée, Feng Yaoqing. At the same time, she has to find a way to stop the great villain from slaughtering the mortal realm.

Character Perspectives

Shen Wanqing is portrayed as an orphan adopted by the Ji family. Seemingly careless and cowardly, she is actually remarkably intelligent and resilient.

Beside her is Ji Feichen, the eldest son of the family, who treats her like a blood sister. Meanwhile, Feng Yaoqing is the noble daughter of the sect leader of the Xuantian Sect.

In stark contrast to the heroic cast stands Xie Wuyan, a notoriously ruthless demon lord. The presence of the spiritual bird Xuanniao makes interactions around this demon lord singularly vivid and engaging.

Interactions of Opposites

The relationship between Shen Wanqing and Xie Wuyan develops through comedic clashes. On one side is a girl striving simply to survive; on the other is a demon king holding the power to destroy the world.

Her subtlety and inner strength gradually soothe the bloodthirsty nature of the great demon lord. Understanding grows naturally, turning the world's most terrifying adversary into a devoted partner.

Her efforts to fix the original couple's relationship inadvertently reflect back on them, drawing two distinct souls together. The progression feels entirely logical, never forced.

Notable Highlights
