The Setting and Initial Conflict

The story opens with a familiar transmigration trope but immediately makes an impact through its direct approach. Our protagonist, Jiang Zhen, was a highly skilled modern special forces soldier who, after dying in the line of duty, wakes up in the body of Eldest Brother Jiang.

The original owner of this body was brutally mistreated by his family, exploited for labor and starved until he passed away. The sheer selfishness and backwardness of the parents pushed the tension to a breaking point, serving as a massive psychological catalyst for this rebirth.

Refusing to endure further abuse, Jiang Zhen moves toward severing ties with absolute efficiency. By punishing those who wronged him and starting fresh on his own terms, the narrative quickly shifts away from its initial gloom.

Character Growth and Pragmatic Realism

As the central figure, Jiang Zhen embodies the pragmatic mindset and unwavering grit of a seasoned soldier. He doesn't waste time on trivial matters, instead focusing all his energy on building his business empire.

The way he improves his quality of life is depicted with rigorous logic. He builds his wealth step-by-step, personally recruiting and training a team of bodyguards while networking with merchants to scale his operations.

When facing enemies, Jiang Zhen is decisive and ruthless in protecting his achievements. However, toward those close to him and his lover, he is an incredibly loyal and dependable anchor.

A Sincere Romance Beyond Prejudice

The romantic arc between Jiang Zhen and Zhao Jinge offers a deeply authentic perspective. Zhao Jinge is a ger plagued by insecurity due to his tall, masculine build, which the villagers dismiss as "ugly."

With the open-mindedness of a modern man, Jiang Zhen takes the initiative to shatter social prejudices to pursue him. He sees and cherishes the hard work, kindness, and sincerity hidden behind that sturdy exterior.

Their relationship develops in a simple yet steadfast manner, becoming each other's greatest source of emotional support. Watching them overcome malicious gossip to build a happy family provides a deeply satisfying conclusion to the story.
