She voluntarily steps into the dark to dedicate herself to caring for the discarded prince. This decision marks the beginning of a turbulent yet highly mutually beneficial partnership.

Showdown in the Dark Cold Palace

The freezing Cold Palace is no peaceful sanctuary; it's a dangerous swamp. And trapped inside is a brutal, deeply twisted man.

The Sixth Prince, Xie Jue, is notorious for being violent, ruthless, and extremely paranoid. He constantly eyes Yun Ling with suspicion, dropping life-or-death threats left and right.

Despite his paranoia and harsh treatment, Yun Ling remains surprisingly chill. She patiently attends to his every need, keeping him safe and sound through it all.

Using Others for revenge and the Vanishing Act

But Yun Ling is no damsel in distress waiting around for a savior. She cleverly leverages the Crown Prince's influence to clear her path and execute her own revenge plan.

Once her goal is met and the danger is gone, she vanishes without a trace. Her sudden departure is a massive blow to the mind of the powerful ruler who has just reached the pinnacle.
