A Mysterious Beginning

The story kicks off with a highly dramatic hook as the female protagonist wakes up facing complete amnesia. Tragedy strikes quickly when she finds herself deeply entangled in a complex murder case directly tied to the sudden death of her beloved grandfather. Not only must she reclaim her lost identity, but she must also bear the immense pressure of a massive inheritance.

A suffocating tension builds as she is surrounded by a lineup of potential suspects who happen to be her closest family members. The author does an excellent job of sowing seeds of doubt, keeping readers constantly guessing alongside the protagonist chapter by chapter. The truth behind the case is far more complex and chilling than what appears on the surface of the story.

Reclaiming Her Memories

The protagonist, Ye Zhen Zhen, is written as a sharp, highly perceptive heiress who refuses to back down in the face of adversity. Despite suffering from temporary memory loss, she proactively acts as a true detective to peel back the layers of mystery. Her strong will and resilience are the highlights that drive the narrative forward in a highly engaging manner.

The unique twist—and her greatest challenge—is her recurring amnesia throughout the investigation. Each episode of memory loss inadvertently reveals a new clue, while simultaneously putting her in grave danger from the hidden schemes of the mastermind behind it all. This challenging ordeal keeps the story thrilling and highly stimulating for the reader.

A Reliable Partner

Alongside the tense and dangerous battle of wits, the introduction of Ji Zheyàn brings a warm, gentle breeze to the story. As the protagonist's fiance, he is not only a solid pillar of emotional support but also an essential partner who constantly protects and accompanies her. Their fantastic chemistry provides a perfect balance between mystery-solving and romance.

Their relationship is portrayed very naturally—not rushed or forced, yet deep enough for readers to clearly sense their absolute trust in one another. In a claustrophobic setting where anyone could be the killer, his presence is more vital and comforting than ever. This steadfast companionship prevents Ye Zhen Zhen's solitary journey from becoming too dark and cold.
