The Ultimate Reincarnation Fail

Have you ever fantasized about opening your eyes after kicking the bucket, only to find yourself lying slap-bang in the middle of a crime scene? That is the ultimate stroke of rotten luck our protagonist, Su Yicheng, has to swallow. Instead of waking up as a filthy rich young master, he gets a ticket to reincarnation straight into the shoes of a suspected murderer.

Retaining his memories from his previous life, this poor chap is forced to activate survival mode on the absolute hardest difficulty just to keep his head attached to his shoulders. The author throws him into a brain-melting game of hide-and-seek with the police, where a single slip-up is enough to make him bite the dust all over again. His wits and resourcefulness are his only lifeline.

The Magnetic Pull of Psychological Twists

Far from a simple runaway sprint, Su Yicheng's journey is a tense dialogue with the darkest corners of the human soul. Living in the body of the culprit forces him to wrestle with immense moral pressure. Every step our protagonist takes is shrouded in sophisticated, malicious conspiracies.

The murder cases in this story are never solved with lazy hand-waving; instead, they are tightly bound to violent internal struggles. The author constructs these cases as labyrinths reflecting the corruption of human nature, leaving readers with a cold shiver down their spines. This very element elevates the work from a run-of-the-mill escape story into an outstanding psychological drama.

When a detective Collides with a Criminal

An unmissable highlight is the appearance of Lu Ming, a sharp-witted detective who acts as the ultimate kryptonite to criminals. The dynamic between a branded killer and an agent of justice creates an incredibly explosive catalyst. Initial suspicion slowly gives way to a tacit mutual understanding, sparking highly entertaining interactions.

The Danmei romance is seamlessly woven in, never diluting the suffocating atmosphere of the detective fiction. The chemistry between Su Yicheng and Lu Ming plays out like a delicate symphony. They are rivals on a chessboard of logic, yet each other's sole psychological anchor.

Key Strengths

• A unique plot where the protagonist must clear his name from within the very body of the culprit.
• Fast-paced and dramatic storytelling, with the twists and turns of each of the murder cases cleanly resolved.
• Sharp character psychology, especially the agonizing moral dilemmas of Su Yicheng.
• The relationship between Su Yicheng and Lu Ming develops naturally with convincing depth.

Regrettable Flaws

• The story is relatively short with only 69 chapters, leaving some investigation details slightly under-explored.
• The supernatural element is rather faint, with the plot focusing heavily on the detective fiction and criminal psychology aspects.
• The romance is quite a slow burn, which might test the patience of readers looking for quick, sugary fluff.

Final Verdict on the Quest for Justice

This work is a breath of fresh air for those tired of generic transmigration tropes. The combination of intense mind games and a subtle, slow-burning romance will keep you glued until the very last page. With its concise length, it is undoubtedly a high-quality mental treat for the weekend.

While there are a few minor regrets regarding the scale of the cases, the author still does a stellar job. Brace your nerves of steel to lift the veil of truth alongside our protagonist in this thorny adventure.

In short: Live at the Murder Scene is a thrilling detective fiction journey, where justice and love bloom together from the dark, muddy depths of murder cases.
