A Tired Setup with a Slight Twist

Dying from overwork only to be isekai'd as a villainess is as cliché as light novels get. The story's only saving grace is that the otome game world diverges completely from the original plot.

Reborn as Ekaterina, protagonist Yukimura Rina relies on her past-life memories to survive. However, the established rules constantly break down, throwing her self-preservation plan into total chaos.

A Twisted Sibling Dynamic

The core plot revolves around the relationship between Ekaterina and her older brother Aleksei. Burdened by a tragic past, the brother turns into a full-blown siscon.

To dodge her own destruction flag and save the kingdom, the heroine embraces full brocon mode. While their sweet dynamic is mildly amusing at first, it quickly gets repetitive and severely lacks strategic depth.

Bare Minimum Highlights

• Warm, wholesome sibling bond that provides cozy fluff.
• Deviations from the original otome game setting spark slight curiosity.
• Protagonist Ekaterina shows backbone and cold pragmatism when necessary.
• Lighthearted slice-of-life pacing requires zero brain cells.

Glaring Flaws

• Political intrigue and threat resolution are handled ridiculously shallowly.
• The bond between Ekaterina and Aleksei often devolves into mindless over-indulgence.
• Mid-story pacing drags heavily and runs in circles.

Who Is This For?

If you just want brainless fluff and family doting, you will find this breezy and cute enough.

Conversely, anyone expecting a villainess story with sharp wits, fierce scheming, or intense palace drama will get bored fast by how playing-it-safe the writing is.

Final Verdict

At 282 ongoing chapters, this is a barely passable light read—nothing extraordinary, but serviceable if you need a quick sugar hit. The author clearly played it safe instead of taking any real risks.

Bottom line: A mediocre time-killer if you want wholesome sibling fluff, but do not expect any high-stakes mind games.
