Reunited After Five Years Apart
The story begins by taking us back to a tense kidnapping incident years ago. In that dangerous moment, the young Ruan Nianchu was luckily rescued by the brave and mysterious soldier Li Teng.
Five long years have passed since then, seemingly burying those initial flutters and memories deep in the past. But have you ever wondered how a chance reunion between two people from completely opposite worlds might reignite that spark?
Their unexpected reunion doesn't just bring back old memories—it quickly sparks a beautiful, sweet romance. Even though time has changed so much, the natural chemistry between them remains as magnetic as ever.
A Rogue special forces Soldier and a Gentle singer
Our male lead, Li Teng, is a soldier serving in a covert special forces unit called Falcon. He possesses a remarkably strong and resilient character, a man of few words with a distinct rogue streak, and is a highly skilled expert at paragliding.
By his side is the female lead, Ruan Nianchu, a beautiful singer in an arts troupe who also works as a theater actress. She wins everyone over with her gentle charm and sincere heart, though she can sometimes be adorably clumsy.
The stark contrast between the rugged special forces soldier and the soft, artistic girl makes them a perfect match. This dynamic chemistry leads to some absolutely delightful and engaging interactions.
Dangerous Revenge and a Mission to Protect
Their love story is far from a smooth ride, as they are forced to weather plenty of storms. Old enemies from the past suddenly resurface, weaving dark conspiracies to seek revenge and putting both of their lives on the line.
Even when faced with relentless danger, Li Teng and Ruan Nianchu never show fear or back down. They always give each other unwavering support, sharing the burden to navigate every trap laid in their path.
But it's not just about keeping themselves and their loved ones safe—they also stand together for their mission to protect the country. Their romantic feelings are deeply intertwined with his duty as a special forces soldier.
What Makes This Book Stand Out

- Thrilling action sequences: The confrontations with old enemies and the paragliding scenes are vividly depicted.
- Well-crafted characters: The chemistry between a resilient, rogue-ish Li Teng and a sweet, slightly clumsy Ruan Nianchu makes for a highly enjoyable read.
- A quick, concise read: Clocking in at just 74 chapters (72 main chapters and 2 side stories), the plot feels pacing-wise tight and coherent.
A Few Things to Consider
- High-stakes danger: The constant threat of revenge might not suit readers who are looking for a purely fluffy, conflict-free story.
- A slightly naive female lead: Ruan Nianchu's occasionally clueless personality might not satisfy readers who prefer highly strategic and genius heroines.
- Familiar conflict tropes: The 'old enemies returning for blood' trope is a pretty classic and predictable formula in urban military romances.
What the Reader Community Says
- shushengbar.net: 0/5 (0 ratings, checked on 04/10/2026)
While the data on shushengbar.net shows no official ratings yet, the novel has still garnered a lot of attention from fans of military romance novels.
If you love the trope of a protective special forces soldier shielding his gentle girl from danger, you'll find this incredibly satisfying. On the flip side, if you're expecting a complex, high-level military battle of wits, this book might fall a bit short.
