When a Secret Agent Becomes a Schoolgirl

Can you imagine a legendary FBI agent waking up one day as a weak little high schooler? That's the hilarious mess Jian Qi finds herself in. In her past life, she was a badass top-tier secret agent, but now she’s been reborn into the body of a scandalous, D-list actress.

But with her skills, Jian Qi wasted no time turning the tables after being kidnapped and targeted by villains. Her wit, cunning, and adorably shameless attitude are a breath of fresh air that completely shatters the stereotype of those typical damsel-in-distress heroines.

The Charm of a Frenemy Dynamic

Fate throws this wild child right into the path of Tang Jinyu, an incredibly cold and mysterious military officer. Jian Qi’s constant mind games and shameless flirting directed at this man of steel will have you absolutely dying of laughter.

Even though he acts stoic and gets riled up by her antics, Tang Jinyu secretly watches over and protects her. The pairing of a "thick-skinned" girl and an "icy" commander creates an explosive chemistry that’s both sweet and intense.

A Side Cast Full of Flavor

Beyond our main duo, the supporting characters bring plenty of laughs to the table. We have Major Li Yibo, who basically gets humiliated and schooled by Jian Qi during every single joint military drill.

Then there’s the warm-hearted Leng Yu and the crazy crew of the Fire Special Team, including Lightning and Crocodile, who really turn up the heat. When Qi Mo shows up later on, our mischievous agent’s social circle gets even more interesting.

The Major Highlights

This novel has so many bright spots that I've been binge-reading it like crazy. Here are the biggest wins for this urban military drama:

• The unique character design of Jian Qi—she's smart, strong, and never lets anyone walk all over her.
• The funny interactions and witty banter between the leads are pure entertainment gold.
• A deep dive into realistic combat skills like sniping, infiltration, and hacking without relying on over-the-top "cheat codes."
• A supporting cast with actual personalities and roles that matter, not just background noise for the leads.

A Few Minor Flaws

Even though it’s a page-turner, Gia Tử Nhứ’s work does have a few hiccups that might break your immersion:

• At a whopping 1979 chapters, the plot can feel stretched out, and the pacing drags a bit in the middle.
• Jian Qi’s quest to uncover her past death sometimes gets buried under minor school and showbiz subplots.
• The military training at the National Defense Academy is a bit idealized at times, taking away from the grit of a real battlefield.

Community Feedback

• Webnovel: Positive reviews (360 ratings as of 05/10/2026), with readers loving the humor and the heroine's backbone.
• Novel Updates: 3.5/5 stars (as of 05/10/2026); some noted the slow burn but were hooked enough to keep reading.

Final Verdict

In short, this is the perfect treat for fans of urban military stories mixed with comedy. Jian Qi’s grind at the National Defense Academy while hunting for the truth is bound to keep you thoroughly entertained.

Just grab some snacks and get ready to laugh your head off at this agent’s shameless antics!

A hilarious urban military romp featuring a total badass of a heroine whose thick skin is second to none—definitely worth the read for some genuine belly laughs!
