Distinctive Survival

Amidst the tension and bloodshed of infinite flow novels, this work stands out as a completely different breath of fresh air. It eschews breathless drama in favor of a remarkably gentle and cozy path.

The protagonist steps into a horror quest world teeming with monsters with an utterly composed mindset. The contrast between the spine-chilling atmosphere and the main character's indifference creates an irresistible appeal for readers.

The journey of overcoming life-or-death trials suddenly becomes more entertaining than ever. Fearsome dangers are now neutralized through a humorous and maximally relaxing lens.

An Unusual Little Zombie

The protagonist Ning Su was originally a dark-element ability user during the apocalypse before being pulled into this world. He possesses a distinct appearance with soft hair, pale skin, a slightly dazed expression, and a frail physique.

After being turned into a little dark zombie, he officially steps into the horror quest realm. Harboring a lazy salted fish disposition, he only wishes to lie down and finish quests in order to live a truly comfortable life.

Instead of panicking and fleeing like other players, he exhibits bizarre and hilarious behaviors. He casually uses a monster's skull as a bedside lamp and even cooks soup from waterfall blood to everyone's utter bewilderment.

His strength stems from the abilities of a unique dark-element ability user. He can absorb all the darkness around him, turning it into energy for himself.

It is precisely this little dark zombie state that grants him a uniquely advantageous survival edge. What is normally the nightmare of other players becomes abundant nourishment for him to grow stronger.

Although his lazy attitude is often dismissed as foolish by surrounding players, he genuinely survives with remarkable ease. A quiet cleverness hidden beneath his dazed exterior helps him gracefully disarm every trap.

Ties of Affection

Rather than surviving in solitude, Ning Su's journey overflows with warmth from his surrounding relationships. Far from being shunned for his eccentric nature, he instead makes the NPCs in various dungeon settings deeply fond of him.

Even a powerful ghost master within the game persistently clings to him and calls him mother. The sincere affection from these terrifying entities blurs the boundary between player and monster.

The narrative also leaves a deep impression with Ning Su's journey to reconnect with his family. His mother is the first to offer him loving affection, while his father later recognizes his child and resolves their past conflicts.

Additionally, the romance between him and Ling Xiao provides many sweet moments. The character Ling Xiao is a pampering powerhouse, essentially the avatar of a Campsis flower, who always grants him absolute protection.

• Ning Su's humorous and innocent interactions with dark forces generate waves of hearty laughter.
