When the apocalypse Becomes a Happy Farm

While everyone else out there is busy fighting tooth and nail over every grain of rice, this story is a breath of fresh air. After our protagonist Wei Xuan died unjustly in his past life, he decided to reincarnate and hit the reset button with a style that’s totally unique. Instead of joining a human base to scheme for power and profit, he quietly packed his bags and moved back to the ruined city to become a farmer.

Suddenly, life in the apocalypse turns into a real-life version of a cozy farming sim—relaxing and surprisingly fun. His only companion isn't some OP superpower elite, but a super-clingy half-zombie guy. Together, they tidy up their home, plant seeds, and build a cozy little nest right in the middle of the zombie hordes wandering outside.

The Ultimate Obedient Zombie Lover

The lead Wei Xuan is the definition of calm and hardworking, and he's surprisingly the proactive one in their romance. Having been through the wringer in his past life, he knows exactly what’s worth cherishing, pouring his heart into nurturing their bond. His domestic skills and unwavering resolve make him the true mental pillar of this little sanctuary.

Meanwhile, his boyfriend Du Hang is a half-zombie with a personality that’s basically a puppy—obedient and clingy. You won't find any toxic drama or soap opera misunderstandings here, just quiet, daily devotion. And when Wei Xuan eventually turns into a zombie himself later on, their connection becomes even more perfect.

When Zombies Are Cuter Than Humans

The story cleverly flips the script on the terrifying end-of-the-world tropes. Through Wei Xuan's lens, creatures that should be a major threat actually come off as quite innocent and naive. This shift in perspective gives the whole experience a strangely soul-healing vibe for the reader.

Forget stressing over the backstabbing schemes of fellow humans in survival bases; living with zombies actually feels way safer. Our lead's choice to live in seclusion is a beautiful touch that highlights the true value of inner peace.

Backup from the Zombie Squad

We can't forget the special guest stars on this one-of-a-kind survival trip. The zombie boys might have lost their human logic, but they act in the most hilarious ways and actually help our duo out quite a bit. Their daily shenanigans provide plenty of lighthearted laughs that blow away the gloom of the apocalypse.

Thanks to this unique support system, their lives are a lot less lonely and full of heartwarming moments. You'll realize that sometimes, a pack of zombies is more reliable and adorable than the snake-hearted people in society. Farming among the undead has never felt so weirdly peaceful.

Highlights Worth Experiencing

• A fresh take on the apocalypse genre through a cozy, warm, and super-relaxed farming novel lens.
• A unique couple dynamic with a romance that feels natural, sweet, and deeply sincere.
• A cast of side-character zombies that are so cute they’ll have you grinning throughout.

Points to Consider

• The pacing is fairly slow, so it might not click with those looking for epic action scenes.
• Lacks the usual power struggles or rapid-fire power-ups found in traditional survival stories.
• The heavy focus on daily domestic life might feel a bit repetitive for some readers.

Buzz from the Chinese Web

• Jinjiang Literature City: Boasting a massive popularity score of 222,262,736 (as of Oct 2, 2026). Readers have been praising the creative blend of light horror and cozy domestic vibes. Many reviews rave about the protagonists' persistent survival farming journey.

The Reader’s Verdict

If you're a fan of healing, low-stakes stories, this is a delicious and comforting treat. But if you're expecting a high-octane adventure with 200 IQ mind games, this book might honestly put you to sleep.

The contrast between the ruined world and their lush, green vegetable garden creates a very specific kind of magic. Long-time fans of the survival genre are in for an unprecedented sense of relaxation.

Wrapping Up the Farming Trip

This novel offers a one-of-a-kind experience, turning a dangerous world into a tranquil homestead. The rock-solid love between Wei Xuan and Du Hang is proof that happiness can be found anywhere. It’s definitely a top-tier choice for those days when you just want to find some peace.

Reborn To The Start Of The Apocalypse To Farm is a sugary-sweet and heartwarming apocalypse tale that turns a gloomy world of the undead into a farm full of laughter. It’s a journey of two soulmates nurturing simple happiness amidst the chaos of the end times.
